Familiar Name and Face to Lead Siloam Mission

CEO, Jim Bell

The Board of Directors at Siloam Mission is delighted to announce it has chosen a new leader.
Jim Bell is the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Siloam.
“A nation-wide search was conducted in order to find the ideal candidate for this immensely important position,” said Siloam’s Chairman of the Board, Dr. Riley Coulter. “With his professional background and demonstrated commitment to his community, the Board was able to make Jim the unanimous choice for CEO.”
Bell was already a volunteer member of Siloam’s Capital Campaign team. On the professional front, he is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds an Honours Degree in Commerce from the University of Manitoba. Bell was most recently working in Winnipeg’s residential real estate sector. He was also a senior executive of the Winnipeg Football Club for 12 years and has served on numerous boards including the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce and Eastview Community Church.
“I am thrilled to be joining such an iconic organization as Siloam Mission,” said Bell. “I look forward to implementing the philosophies of servant leadership and empowering the people around me to continue helping our city’s most vulnerable citizens.”
Bell takes over from Dr. Garry Corbett who is retiring once a full transition has taken place.
“I can’t begin to explain how happy I am to pass over the leadership reigns to Jim,” stated Corbett. “His professional and personal attributes reassure me, the integrity of Siloam Mission and the dignity of the people we serve are in good hands.”
Bell assumes the duties of CEO effective immediately.
