Addiction Recovery Units
This Christmas, you’re needed for something big: lead people out of addictions and into productive lives.
Help raise $400,000 by December 15th to build 20 recovery housing units. We will look for other resources to help build the rest of the project. And the government provides some funding. These units provide stability, support, and safety for people completing addiction recovery – the point when they’re at greatest risk for relapsing. With this help, they stay on track. They make the transition to productive lives faster. So they can grow and contribute to our communities.
You can view the plans for this project here: Addiction Recovery Units Plan
This is a structured living space set up to help people in recovery make the transition to self-sufficiency. Because it’s in our building right here at Siloam Mission, people also have access to other services so that they can move forward in their lives with confidence.
These Addiction Recovery Units are a realistic, practical solution, not a stop-gap measure. Construction of the units must be completed by March of 2021. It’s ambitious, but the payoff for your investment is significant. It means more people freed from addiction and homelessness, ready to take their place in productive society and contribute to Winnipeg.
NOTE: Spending of funds is confined to programs and projects approved by the executive of Siloam Mission. Each contribution directed toward an approved program or project will be used as restricted with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason as determined by the executive of Siloam Mission, the remaining restricted contributions will be used where most needed.
