We keep saying that the young people are our future. But how are we inspiring youth to take charge of their own communities and make change happen?
Siloam Mission encourages students to take a tour, hold a fundraiser, organize a donation drive, and advocate for Winnipeg’s homeless.
Homelessness as a topic can provide educators and students many opportunities to learn, reflect and take action on an important issue that affects every community. The purpose of these education materials is to raise awareness of homelessness and to inspire individuals, classrooms and schools into action.
Book a School Tour
The best way to learn about homelessness in Winnipeg and what Siloam Mission is doing to help is to come for a guided tour. We’d love to show you around!
Our tour leaders cater each school tour to the age of the students and the size of the group. From start to finish, tours typically run for one hour, including a short orientation session.
